Sticking around the Ypsi-Arbor area this weekend? You’re in luck—there are a ton of family-friendly activities taking place. Which ones will you be attending?

Friday

  • Check out Beverly Meyer, aka The Music Lady, at Ypsi’s Crossroads Music Festival. Her performance begins at 6 PM.
  • Ann Arbor District Library, Downtown Branch, is hosting a “Kids Read Comics weekend”. It kicks off this evening at 7 PM with voice actor, Neil Kaplan presenting an interactive discussion and demonstration of how one can express their characters’ inner lives through voice. Kaplan is the voice behind characters from Transformers, Digimon, Power Rangers, StarCraft, and more.

Saturday

Sunday

  • U of M’s Botanical Gardens are hosting “Teacups & Top Hats – Family Fun Day”. It’s sure to be a fun day with storytelling, face painting, refreshments, live music, and of course, plants!
  • Go cool off and play with your food at AADL – Malletts Creek Branch. They are hosting a “Kitchen Science” event, where participants will find out how much protein is in their milk & iron in their cereal, and learn how to make popcorn dance!
  • Join in a program of music & movement for young families with children 0-5 years old at AADL-Pittsfield Branch.
